How you can get involved:
Here are 5 easy ways you can support the ICMHP mission and help improve children’s mental health all across Illinois.
-
Get educated. Start with the ICMHP Fact Sheet and the ICMHP Brochure. Sign-up for email alerts from ICMHP and Voices for Illinois Children. It’s an easy way to keep up-to-date on policy decisions and news about the progress Illinois is making in building a comprehensive children’s mental health system.
-
Contact your legislators and let them know that you support the work of the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership in building a comprehensive children’s mental health system. To send a message to your representatives, click here.
-
Participate in the "Say It Out Loud" public awareness campaign. It is a statewide effort to promote good mental health for everyone in Illinois. The goal is to de-stigmatize mental health problems by urging people to speak up and tell their recovery stories. The campaign features a website, www.mentalhealthillinois.org, where you can register to access tools and learn how volunteers and community organizations can support this important work.
-
Share your ideas with ICMHP. Click here and send us an email with your ideas and/or questions about the quality and accessibility of children’s mental health programs and services in your community.
-
Support SEL Standards Implementation in your community’s schools. Contact our SEL Speakers Bureau to find out how you can host a community meeting with one of our speakers. Include your location and proposed date of your meeting in your email.
