Consultation Workgroup
Co-Chairs: Scott Allen and John Roope Staff: Colette Lueck
The Consultation Workgroup was formed in January 2008 to provide leadership in implementing mental health consultation efforts for children and youth ages 0-21 years, as well as determining how consultation efforts can strengthen the children's mental health workforce.
Accomplishments:
Helping identify gaps in overall consultation initiatives (e.g., consultation to schools and school systems) and strategies for addressing these gaps.
Identifying and promoting strategies for enhancing workforce development
Helping establish quality �standards� (e.g., core competencies of consultants) across consultation models.
Looking for a structural way to systematically address consultation in key child-serving systems
Current Activities:
Identifying models for providing consultation to school-age children within education and primary care settings
