Overview
The Advocacy Committee was formed in 2012 following a revision process of the ICMHP Strategic Priorities. Advocacy for children’s mental health, as well as advocacy for the ICMHP, are important parts of moving the work forward and maintaining funds. The Committee’s goal is to create a collective voice for children’s mental health across a variety of statewide advocacy groups.
Current Activities:
- Building relationships with key policymakers
- Supporting relevant legislation
- Advocating for children’s mental health services and supports
- Developing Issue Briefs to increase awareness of ICMHP’s strategic priorities
