Overview

The Early Childhood Committee (ECC) envisions a strong early childhood component within a comprehensive, coordinated children’s mental health system. The ECC promotes evidence-based mental health interventions that support positive social emotional development and prevent social emotional problems for children from birth to age five. The ECC has been active since 2000, pre-dating the formation of ICMHP. Members meet quarterly to stay informed on ECC Work Group activities, advocacy updates, and innovative mental health practices or programs within the early child hood field.
